The purpose of The Village Café is to provide a warm and friendly place for the community to meet together, make friends and build relationships. Even though it’s run and overseen by the church and is held at the chapel, we welcome anyone and everyone who would like to volunteer to get involved. It is a community project to provide a warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere for everyone. If you haven’t been before, please feel free to come and have a bacon roll…or two!
We are able to seat 60 people and the place gets very busy (in a good way). All of our events and clubs at the church are free, but in order to be able to run the café every week, we need to cover our costs. However, the prices are extremely cheap and affordable as you can see from the menu below.
We also offer homemade cakes that have baked by 3 of our very talented ladies, Ilona, Libby and Kath. Their kitchens have been inspected by the Environmental Health Officer and given a 5 hygiene rating. The café kitchen has also received a 5 hygiene rating by the Environmental Health Officer.
